“A troubled and afflicted mankind looks to us, pleading for us to keep our rendezvous with destiny; that we will uphold the principles of self-reliance, self-discipline, morality, and, above all, responsible liberty for every individual that we will become that shining city on a hill.” — Ronald Wilson Reagan

My Kind Of Bipartisanship

11 Democrats voted Nay on the so-called “stimulus” package.

Zero (that’s 0) Republicans voted Aye.

In other words, the Nay votes were more bipartisan than the Aye votes.

Guess Obama will have to find another way to blame the GOP when his pork bill fails to resurrect the economy.

If they go by the “proglib” (progressive/liberal) playbook, President Obama and the Obamaniacs (kinda catchy, huh?) will typically blame the Republicans for not being bipartisan and for putting their own political interests above those of the American people. Yes, those evil, unsympathetic, heartless Republicans and their economically conservative values…a pox on them! Ha ha!

Chicago style politics is the change you can believe in. Or, well, that is the way they are doing things in Washington now.
