Gun Bans Coming Back: Yes, He Can!

Once again, Obama shows his lefty roots:

The Obama administration will seek to reinstate the assault weapons ban that expired in 2004 during the Bush administration, Attorney General Eric Holder said today.

“As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons,” Holder told reporters.

So far, increased gun sales are about the only true economic stimulus that Obama can claim credit for, as people try to buy their guns before bans like this go into force.

    Also worth noting, I removed your generic blog ad. I did that once before, if memory serves, and told you that we don’t permit that here (we consider it spamming). That’s also a “next time, you go poof” thing.

    As for the substance of your comment, what little there was, I personally have posted over 190 articles here, and this is the first one I can remember on gun control. So you need a little perspective, methinks.

    Perhaps kpsilverman needs to write to his/her fellow leftist and Commissar Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and ask her why she dismissed the idea of reimposing the assault weapons ban. If kpsilverman can put his/her proglib playbook down and actually have something intelligent and informed to write, maybe he/she would have had a chance. Such is the life of a typical gauchenista.

    Also, back to Silverman’s weak point… if the country is so bad off, why is Holder proposing this now? Aren’t there bigger issues the Attorney General should be tackling?

    Everyone (that means more than 10 people) I have spoken to in the gun stores I frequent knows that times are bad and are going to get worse. If more people lose their jobs and if more people don’t have money enough to buy the necessities of life, they will do things out of sheer desperation, even if it means breaking into your house, with you and your family in it. If you are in your house when they break in, they aren’t going to say, “Trick or treat” or “Hello, I will just be taking some of your things now”. They will come in force and possibly armed themselves. People aren’t buying guns and ammunition just because radical leftist gun control legislation might be passed, they are purchasing guns and ammunition for personal protection when desperate times do come.
