Pelosi Told About Waterboarding in 2003

And the evidence keeps piling up:

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A source close to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi now confirms that Pelosi was told in February 2003 by her intelligence aide, Michael Sheehy, that waterboarding was actually used on CIA detainee Abu Zubaydah.

This appears to contradict Pelosi’s account that she was never told waterboarding actually happened, only that the administration was considering using it.

Some commentators appear to believe that Pelosi will never be called to account by the Democrats. I tend to disagree, because this stuff is really looking bad for the Party of the Donkey, and the best way for them to erase that stain is to remove Pelosi… otherwise it will keep coming and quite possibly metastasize into a real issue for the 2010 elections, and if the Democrats are concerned about anything, it’s keeping their power.

Pelosi should open up her own Waffle House. She has flip-flopped more times than a goldfish who accidentally jumped out of the fishbowl. She’s running out of fingers to point the blame with. Apparently all of her mirrors are broken because she has not looked at herself for quite a long time. I doubt her fellow Dems will remove her, since so many share the same belief system that she has and quite probably would be exposed as liars and hypocrites on the water boarding issue as well. Is this that spirit of civility she spoke about when Congress shifted Democrat? It seems apropos that she would be the originator of the whole “culture of corruption” terminology, don’t you think? Who knows better what corruption is than she.
