In his weekly address, President Obama attempted to counter the arguments opponents have against current health care reform legislation:
Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) was selected to issue the GOP’s weekly address, in which he restated the GOP’s position on health care reform:
In view of recent circumstances and with the facts that have been presented on why both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate’s versions of health care reform are inadequate, whom do you choose to believe? We have been letting leftist and elitist politicians slowly slip their collective foot in the door toward a socialist-style government. If their brand of health care reform, along with their economically dangerous “climate change” bill passes in both houses of U.S. Congress and is signed into law by President Obama, you can say “good-bye” to capitalism and the U.S. Constitution. You can then say “hello” to socialism and government control of your everyday lives.
Once the precedent is set, there’s no reversing the process.
