U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman, Congressman Henry Waxman (D-CA) is threatening to take H.R. 3200 – America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 to a floor vote if “Blue Dog” Democrats refuse to break ranks and join the Republicans in voting against H.R. 3200 [Article - House Dems threaten floor vote to break impasse].

Why does Congressman Waxman want a quick floor vote? Because leftist Democrats like Mr. Waxman know that the longer the legislation is out there for all to investigate, the more resistance there will be against passing the bill. In other words, leftist Democrats like Waxman who think they are above reproach and who think they know so much better than we do on how to manage our own health care, want to work against the will of the American people to ram their public health care “option” down our throats [Article - Pelosi: House Dems have the votes on health care].

Leftist Democrats like Waxman want more government control of the masses. What better way to control people than through health care:

Are you fat? You’re going to lose weight or we’ll penalize you at the rate of “x”. Are you drinking too much pop and sugary juices? Too bad, you’ll have to stop drinking those things or we’ll penalize you at the rate of “x”. Are you eating foods that we deem unhealthy for you? Oh they might taste good, but you’d better stop eating those things or we’ll penalize you at the rate of “x”.

Are you over a certain age (e.g., 70 years old)? Too bad, your health care costs can no longer be justified as being necessary enough for us to provide coverage for you because you’re too old and if you don’t have serious health problems now due to old age, you’ll have them later—in the meantime, you want counseling so that we can ease your mental and emotional suffering before your impending death?

You want life-saving surgery? You want to continue to take the medication you need? You want to receive treatment for a serious illness? Do as we say and you’ll get what you need.

You want private health care? Good luck paying for it, much less finding a doctor who will treat you. Private health care is for us elitist, statist, Marxist, leftist, socialist hypocrites [Article - Why won't Congress enroll in gov't health care?]. You want to opt out of public health care coverage? Sure! For a penalty of 2.5 percent of your pay. If you’re an employer and you want your employees to have the choice of getting their own private health insurance, you can do that too—for a penalty of 8.0 percent of your company’s payroll.

Since nobody will be allowed to exercise their own freedom of choice and get their own health care coverage, they’ll just have to suffer and/or die with or without the public “option” of health care.

Control means power and power means unlimited authority to say and do whatever one in power wants. That is the statist’s, leftist’s, Marxist’s, socialist’s and elitist’s main goal. They might differ slightly in their ideological agendas, but their goal is the same.

Now it’s up to “Blue Dog” Democrats and Republicans to block Congressman Waxman’s (with Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s blessing) latest political stunt.
