Supporters lined up bright and early to get in the door at The Henry Ford, including Lonnie Peek, who handed over $1,000 to stand in a rope line and shake the President’s hand.

How many people in recession-ravaged Detroit and suburbs can afford $1,000 for a handshake? Probably just “the rich,” whom Obama loves to demonize.

Romney should be able to make some political hay with this, as well, if his ad people have the smarts and cojones.
