Obamanomics at work (emphasis in original):

The Congressional Budget Office said Thursday that 45 million people in 2011 received Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits, a 70% increase from 2007. It  said the number of people receiving the benefits, commonly known as food stamps, would continue growing until 2014.

Now, some people will look at that and say, “well, that’s a good thing, people are getting government help.” But wouldn’t it be far, far better if these people were in a solid job where they didn’t need government assistance? Of course it would, except to the hard-line lefties who want everyone to get their paychecks from the government.

Lefties believe a growing number of people receiving government handouts is a good thing. Conservatives believe a growing number of people not needing government handouts is a better thing. It’s really as simple as that.
