Welcome to the future… a shortage of doctors and nurses, thanks to the government meddling in the healthcare and health insurance markets.
The story is out of Florida, and details a statement from the Florida Medical Association:
Whether you’re employed and insured, elderly and on Medicare, or poor and covered by Medicaid, the Florida Medical Association says there’s a growing shortage of doctors — especially specialists — available to provide you with medical care.
And if the Florida Legislature goes along with Gov. Rick Scott’s recommendation to offer Medicaid coverage to an additional 1 million Floridians — part of the Affordable Care Act that takes effect next January — the FMA says that shortage will only get worse.
Don’t say you weren’t warned, we’ve known at least since 2011 that doctor shortages were coming, thanks to the same thing happening after Romney’s MassCare went into effect in Massachusetts.
We had another chance to remove this from our country, if we’d elected Romney — despite his flaws — last November, but too many people were in favor of “free” health insurance, “free” cell phones, and so on and so forth.
So, this is the future for America… not enough doctors, thanks to government meddling. And you can thank everyone that voted for Obama or just plain didn’t vote.
