“Moderate” Democrat Calls For Cheney’s Execution

Just to show how “moderate” a “moderate” Democrat really is (emphasis in original):

Rep. Chuck Kruger (D-Thomaston), the Democrat chair of the Maine legislature’s Moderate Caucus, used his Twitter account to express his view that former Vice President Dick Cheney should be executed. This comment has led some to question the validity of Kruger’s moderate credentials.

Kruger made the statement through his Twitter account this past summer, saying, “Cheney deserves same final end he gave Saddam. Hope there are cell cams,” a reference to technology that would allow Kruger to watch the proposed execution of the former Vice President of the United States.

Democrat Senator Jeff Bingaman Retiring

And then there were four… retiring Democratic Senators, that is.

CNN confirms that Democratic Sen. Jeff Bingaman of New Mexico will announce later Friday that he will not run for re-election next year.

I am betting this is only the start, neighbors. It’s gonna continue, and it’s probably gonna escalate as we get closer to the 2012 elections.

The “New” Civility… No Crosshairs, But It’s OK To Compare Republicans To Nazis

Gotta love this “new tone” of the Democrats, don’t ya?

In an extraordinary outburst on the House floor, Rep. Steve Cohen (D-TN) invoked the Holocaust to attack Republicans on health care and compared rhetoric on the issue to the work of infamous Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.

“They say it’s a government takeover of health care, a big lie just like Goebbels,” Cohen said. “You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, and eventually, people believe it.  Like blood libel.  That’s the same kind of thing. And Congressman Cohen didn’t stop there.

“The Germans said enough about the Jews and people believed it–believed it and you have the Holocaust.  We heard on this floor, government takeover of health care.  Politifact said the biggest lie of 2010 was a government takeover of health care because there is no government takeover,” Cohen said.

I hereby call on any and all lefties that castigated Sarah Palin for her map to denounce Rep. Cohen, and for any readers who spot such denouncements to post about them in the comments.

Harkin: ObamaCare Will Pass With Or Without GOP

Big surprise here:  Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA) says that health care reform will pass with or without GOP support.  These should be welcome words for anyone who is opposed to the brand of health care reform that President Obama and other leftists politicians are wanting to force upon an unwilling American public [Article: Harkin: Health reform will pass – with or without GOP support].

Obama was correct about something.  After ObamaCare is rammed down our throats, even when a majority of the American people don’t want the Democrat version, he’s right—that’s what elections are for.  After November of this year, it will be a lot more difficult for leftists in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate to fulfill their utopian socialist agenda [Article: Obama warns Republicans he will pass health care].
